Cooperating with juicy slices of tortilla!

There are many ways of collaborating when you want to help others and most important is the intention of those who give up their time to offer us their generosity,  their talent or know-how for a charitable cause.

Collecting funds for Akshy from the sale of tortilla slices

In the CEIP College of San Lorenzo in Ezcaray, Logroño, a school with just under 200 students, each year they make tortillas and sell them at the symbolic price of one euro per slice.

All members of the school are invited to take part both in preparing and also in helping to sell them.  Parents, teachers, the Management and, on this occasion, even the pupils took part.  Marta Cañas and Micaela Hernando met early in the morning to make a potato omelette.

The families, pupils, teachers and cleaners joined in the buying and tasting – such an appetizing way of collecting money!

Thanks to this funding we were able to buy for the Akshy School materials such as exercise books, pencils, erasers, pencil sharpeners, drawing books, felt-tips, coloured pencils…….
