Mission

The AKSHY ASSOCIATION is a group of people (collaborators, members, sponsors, volunteers, friends, etc.) wishing to contribute freely to alleviating the poverty and misery of a large part of Indian society.

We place special attention on infants, women and the elderly as they are the most vulnerable members.  We work in favour of development, believing that education and protection are the basic pillars for the erradication of poverty.

We are a non-lucrative NGO the objective of which is the improvement of conditions for the children, women and the elderly who belong to the most rejected sector of Indian life:  the so-called “untouchables” or dalits.
