It is essential that the children receive medical attention. Since their families cannot afford to pay a doctor or the medicines he could prescribe, they often turn to witchdoctors or rural doctors with no qualifications, and this on many occasions aggravates the illness to the point of death.
We cover the cost of visits to doctors and medicines prescribed when one of our students is sick and needs specialist treatment. We also pay for any first aid required.
We carry out vaccination campaigns and hold workshops and talks for all the community on health and preventive hygiene.
