We want to share with you our good news: with the lifting of restrictions by the Indian Government, we have been able to open our School for Sewing again, taking all due precautions for social distancing, the use of masks and washing of hands before entering the centre
The new group is composed of 12 students who were very keen to start this 6 months sewing course during which they will learn to make clothes for themselves and their families, enabling some of them to open their own small sewing workshops as well as the extra income.
This course also helps the young girls and women to interact among themselves outside of their homes and feel useful by being able to carry out a different activity from housework.
The courses within our Programme for Women are made possible thanks to the quotas received from our members and to whom we offer our gratitude for their support
